Walking the Wolds continues a pace

This year's Wolds Walking Festival got off to a great start at the weekend, with around 400 people attending the launch event.

Donington on Bain was teeming with walkers out to enjoy the local landscape and a great selection of guided walks.

The 12th Walking Festival now continues through until the finale at the National Trust’s Gunby Hall, Estate and Gardens on Sunday 5 June.

Every day, there is a range of walks on offer, from short strolls to more challenging rambles.

There are also plenty of family-friendly events and also some accessible walks for people with mobility issues.

Some walks need to be booked in advance, but for many you can just turn up on the day.
