Thieves targeting delivery vehicles where keys left in ignition

Police are warning delivery drivers not to leave keys in the ignition after a number of their vehicles have been stolen from rural locations.

They say vehicles are being targeted where the keys have been left in the ignition whilst a delivery or visit is being made.

Builders’ vans, delivery vans and 4x4 vehicles have been stolen.

“Please ensure that you do not leave keys in the ignition, keep your vehicle locked whilst making deliveries and be aware of other vehicles in the same location,” said community safety officer Gill Finn.

“If you notice any suspicious vehicles please obtain the registration and contact Lincolnshire Police on 101.”
