Positive start for Matinee Fim Club

The organiser of Horncastle's new Matinee Film Club is confident the venture will be a success.

More than 20 people attended the club’s first screening, held at the town’s Stanhope Hall last week.

Organiser Peter Foster said the feedback was very positive and that at least another ten people had promised to attend the next show.

He said: “It will take time to grow but all the people who came thoroughly enjoyed it and at times, the place rocked with laughter. I hope each person will bring some friends in future,

*The next show is at 2.30pm on May 17, again at Stanhope Hall . The film will be ‘Home at Seven’, a mystery thriller starring Ralph Richardson and Jack Hawkins.
