Woodhall Spa’s Cottage Museum is staging a creative workshop this week, which includes making patterns.
The craft activities are inspired by the wonderful array of pictures and patterns to be found on the fantastic array of decorative tiles from the Victorian and Edwardian periods.
The workshop will include the opportunity to paint a tile design, use clay to create a relief tile and the chance to make a pendant inspired by a period tile design.
The session is designed to support the current temporary exhibition Houses and Homes, Past and Present, which will be on show until June 7.
Many of the Victorian and Edwardian homes would have had decorative floor and wall tiles.
The session will take place on Thursday May 28, from 10am–12noon at the Cottage Museum, Iddesleigh Road LN10 6SH.
Admission is £3 per child. Children must be accompanied.
Booking is advisable as places are limited.
