One of the most familiar figures in British politics is heading for Woodhall Spa later this year.

Tickets are now on sale for a charity lunch and talk by charismatic former MP and now TV star Ann Widdecombe at the Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa on Wednesday September 24.

The event is being organised to raise funds for local family support charity Home-Start East Lindsey.

Kathryn Laverack, Community Liaison Co-ordinator at Home-Start East Lindsey, said: “We are so looking forward to welcoming Miss Widdecombe.

“We first met during a previous visit to Louth where she donated one of her favourite recipes for our ‘What Shall We Have For Tea’ family cook book and after finding out more about our work, she kindly agreed to come and talk for us.

“Anyone who has heard her speak will know what an impressive and fascinating speaker she is.

“We hope to have a full house and raise some much needed funds for our charity’s work with local families.”

Tickets are priced at £30 each to include a two course lunch.

They are available from the Petwood Hotel (01526 352411) or Home-Start East Lindsey (01507 610665).
