Next week will see performances of ‘The Gaul’ at the Lion Theatre.

Centred around the loss of Hull trawler the Gaul in 1974, the play shares the experiences of the Pearson family across the years.

When the 36-man crew is lost off the coast of Norway, family and friends cling together in their search for the truth.

Was the Gaul the victim of a storm? Was she part of Cold War conspiracies? Or is it a case of fault and blame?

Although based around a fictionalised family, it draws on real life experiences and explores the journeys of the men who were lost and the wives and relatives left behind.

The play runs from November 21 to 24, with tickets £7 and £6 from Horncastle Music Shop or horncastletheatre.co.uk
