A feast of entertainment will be on offer over the August Bank Holiday weekend at the Horncastle Cricket Club Ground.

More than 20 beers, from
Penzance to Masham, plus several locally brewed
Lincolnshire ales will be available to sample as the town’s Cricket and Squash Clubs host their 5th Annual Beer Festival at the Coronation Walk site.

And along with 12 ciders and perries, together with a varied selection of wines, there should be something to suit everyone’s pallette.

Hot food and soft drinks will also be available throughout the weekend.

The Festival, which is free to enter, is open on the Friday, August 28, from 4pm to 11pm and the Saturday, August 29, from midday to 11pm.

The crowds will be entertained by cricket matches on the Friday evening and
Saturday afternoon.

Horncastle Rugby Club has also organised a game, on the neighbouring field for the
Saturday afternoon.

Musical entertainment will not be in short supply either.

On the Friday, local musician Dom Price will be performing, while on Saturday night, Lincoln band The Manipulators and Horncastle’s Ukulele Band make welcome returns after last year’s successful debuts.

Any profits from the event will be equally split between the event organisers, to improve facilities at both clubs.
