Horncastle Theatre Company’s will be hoping to strike it lucky with their latest production which is a comedy based around a bowling club.
“Crown Prince”, written by John Godber, features Jack, Ted, Ronnie and Caroline, stalwarts of Beech Hill Bowling Club.
Year after year, Jack tries to fulfil his lifelong ambition - beating Ronnie.
The play - billed as a gently, quirky comedy - shares the character’s ups and downs.
Set initially in the present day and moving forward through 20 years, Crown Prince looks at a world where it is 30c at Christmas, most of Hull is under water and a bungalow on a hill sells for £5m.
The production opens at the Lion Theatre on Tuesday March at 17 and other performances are on March 19, March 20 and March 21.
