Estate to celebrate British farming

Owners of the Revesby Farm Estate will be ‘throwing open their doors’ on June 8 in a celebration of great British farming and food.

They are putting together what promises to be a fascinating and enjoyable day out for

the whole family.

The Estate say they are delighted to be joining hundreds of other farms across the country in hosting similar events.

A spokesman said: “It’s a great chance to find out firsthand how our food is grown and produced sustainably and to talk to the farmers responsible.”

The event will be staged in the Estate’s main yard and will run from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free of charge.

The range of attractions includes a chance to meet some of the Estate’s animals, tractor and trailer rides and various displays of machinery.

There will be educational stands along with welly wanging, painting competitions and quizzes. Refreshments will be available.

The spokesman added: “There is a lot to celebrate about British farming and food – so do come and join us.
