Crowds expected at Remembrance Day

Hundreds of people are expected to attend Horncastle’s Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday (November 9).

People taking part should assemble at the Stanhope Hall car park off Boston Road at 9am.

Starting at 9.15am, the parade will march down South Street to the junction of the A153 and A158 and continue across into the Bull Ring.

The route then turns left into High Street and left again into Church Lane.

There will be a service in St Mary’s Church which is open to the public.

Following the service, the parade will reform in Church Lane and march to the Horncastle War Memorial Centre - via North Street - for a wreath laying ceremony.

*Motorists are advised Boston Road, South Street, the Bull Ring, High Street and Church Lane will be closed between 9.15am and 9.50am and Church Lane, High Street, the Bull Ring and North Street from 10.45am to 11.30am.

Police officers and stewards will be on duty along the route.
