Last weekend’s Christmas Market at Tattershall Castle proved as popular as ever with around 2,500 visitors attending the event.
Visitors were welcomed with the opportunities to try roasted chestnuts, tea/coffee or a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie (with many returning for a second glass).
There were over 40 stalls spread both within the castle and in a large marquee erected in the castle grounds all selling a wide variety of crafts.
As in previous years the emphasis was very much on local crafts, as this has always been appreciated by the visitors, who were delighted by the diversity of crafts ranging from artisan breads and toys to scented candles and many other Christmas gifts.
There was also a raffle with prizes donated by stall holders with the money raised going towards keeping the audio guides free for visitors to take round the castle.
While the success of the event is reflected by the return of many of last years exhibitors, there were many new participants attending and offering new ranges of exciting gifts.
