The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre at Coningsby is holding a rare weekend opening this Sunday and Monday (25 and 26 May).
The centre offers a unique chance to see some of the last remaining fully-operational aircraft that defended the nation’s skies during the Second World War.
Visitors will be shown around the hanger by knowledgeable volunteer guides.
Many many of the guides have first-hand experience of the aircraft.
The hanger tours last around one-and-a-half hours.
Guests can also enjoy quality food and drink at the centre’s new Merlins Tea Room.
Opened on April 28, the new café provides an opportunity to stay much long, relax and enjoy the experience.
This Sunday and Monday is the first of only three periods this year when people can visit the centre during a weekend.
Tickets are £6.50 for adults, £4.50 for concessions, £17.50 for a family. Admission is free for under-fives.
