Bulgarian film ‘The Lesson’ will be screened by Louth Film Club on Monday, May 23.
The film is said to be of considerable ‘slow-burning moral tension.’
It shows the plight of a school teacher, driven to desperate measures by both her pupils and personal circumstances as she tries to teach what it is to do right.
