Still riding high from his maiden TT win in June, Bardney racer Ivan Lintin recorded two double victories plus single one at the Barry Sheene Race and Rally Festival at Oliver’s Mount in Scarborough recently.
The 30-year-old Lincolnshire fireman nearly made it three doubles, but he slipped off on the damp surface at Drury’s hairpin in the opening senior race on the first of the two days of competition at the North Yorkshire road racing venue.
But he won the same event on Sunday and then recorded his two double victories in the Supersport and Supertwin races.
The meeting was round nine of the Duke Road Racing Rankings in which he now has a lead of nearly 100 points
Ivan pays his next visit to Oliver’s Mount on July 19 for the Cock O’ The North meeting in which racing has been compressed into one day instead of the usual two. The 12-race programme begins with practice at 9am followed by racing from noon.
