Aaron Silvester has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming Silverstone round of the National Superstock 600 class after suffering a problem with his leg at Cadwell.

The Tattershall rider badly broke his leg at Oulton Park back in May and could possibly be sidelined for the rest of the current campaign.

He explained: “Unfortunately, I have had to make the difficult decision not to race at the next round at Silverstone and possibly the rest of the season.

“The knock that my leg took in the first race at Cadwell has caused me a lot of pain and I’m still unable to walk without pain.

“I thought my leg would be strong enough for Cadwell but it seems that the knock has possibly disturbed bone growth and I’m planning to see a specialist soon to find out exactly what is going on.

“Apologies to all my sponsors, thank you for all of your support this year so far, as we were really making progress.

“I am absolutely gutted as l am desperate to get back on the bike and show what I can do, but I need to let the bone heal than regain strength.

“I will come back faster and stronger as soon as I possibly can.”
