Horncastle Squash Club aren’t just one of the top teams in the Lincoln Weekend League - they’re also one of the smartest.
The club has secured a new shirt sponsorship deal with Agrii, one of the region’s leading providers of agronomy services, technology and advice.
Simon Gould from Agrii visited the club and presented the shirts to team captain Daniel Wells.
They were handed over before a match earlier this month which Horncastle won 5-0.
The winning line-up consisted of Oliver Fixter, Ewan Hannam, Daniel Wells, Lewis Cheetham and Katie Wells.
Horncastle followed up that success with a 4-1 victory against Rustons Sports.
There was one change to the previous game with Chris Cave coming in for Katie Wells.
Playing at five. Cave served up his best squash of late. He started well and then had a slight hiccup but finally won 3-2.
Lewis Cheetham, who was struggling with illness, scrambled a 3-1 win without playing his best squash.
Playing at three. Daniel Wells put in a typical captain’s performance and showed great patience and steely determination to battle to a tough 3-2 victory.
Playing at two. Ewan Hannam - the team’s most consistent performer - produced another great display which oozed class and he ran away with a 3-0 win.
In the top match, Oliver Fixter didn’t really show his form of late and lost heavily 3-0
All the Horncastle players were helped by some vocal home support and the win moved the side into third place in Division One.
