Round 2 of the competitive Banovalllum MCC Enduro Championship took place last Sunday at the Thoresway Honda Motoparc, a track that has hosted some of the top off road motorcyclists from across the country, near Caistor.

Dry but very windy conditions at the highly regarded venue tested the riders skill and stamina over the jumps, up and down the valley and through the wooded sections within the Enduro course.

The mixture of the Moto Cross track and the off circuit technical sections proved a tough test for the once again full to capacity entry.

J. Chambers (KTM) took the Expert class win completing 28 laps in a time of 3hrs 2min 38secs some 5 minutes clear of A. Ranson (Husaberg) second with B. Hamilton (KTM) only a further 33secs back in third.

Clubmen Category was taken by A. Byers (Honda) going one place better than his first round finish completing 26 laps 2mins ahead of D. Cox (Gas Gas) and B. Harness (Honda) only 12secs back in third.

M. Jones (KTM) bettered his first round third place with victory in the Sportsman class with the ever consistent O. Moses (KTM) second with S. Bland (Honda) rounding out the top 3.

L. Howson aboard his KTM claimed top spot in the Beginners category ahead of the similar machinery of M. Harris second and G. Smart (Yamaha) third.

A. Jackson (KTM) stormed to another fantastic win in the Over 45’s section while K. Bartle (Honda) again dominated the Trail/Classic section taking a comfortable victory.

Round three is set to take place at Ashby Peurorum on Sunday May 10 with racing underway from 10.30am.
