JUDO: Horncastle club members take top spot in Notts Invitational

Horncastle Judo Club ended their spring season on a high with a visit to the prestigious Nottinghamshire Invitational event last Saturday.

All 15 of Horncastle players came away with a medal in a fantastic event in which all the top clubs from around the country were invited. Horncastle took the top spot on the medals table.

Head coach ‘TJ’ said it was a fantastic performance by the club: “They showed pride, passion and a will to win and taking top spot is the icing on the cake.

“This is a great end to spring which has seen the club secure hundreds of medals since the new year. I cannot say how proud I am of our players and parents, and all the volunteers that make all this possible.

“We are all looking forward to the autumn season to start. with the possibility of some of our young players wearing the famous and sought after Great Britain badge on there judo suits, and a possible chance of having some of our seniors on the Great Britain ranking system.

“These are exiting time for Horncastle Judo.”
