Brother and sister William and Hermione Wright have, in the space of a few days, gained places at national hockey and football finals.
Hermione, who recently gained a silver medal for Lincolnshire under-17 girls’ hockey team at the Eastern Regional Finals – beating teams from Norfolk, Cambs, Beds and Essex – the day before had been in the winning football team at the National ISFA schools semi-final against Wycombe Abbey. She will now travel to Thame in Oxfordshire, to play the final under floodlights next month.
Her younger brother William has also been successful in being part of the winning school team at the Midlands region schools hockey championships. He will now play in the National Schools Final at Olympic Park, London, also in April.
Both William and Hermione play at Spalding Hockey Club, and attended St Hugh’s School, Woodhall Spa.
