Billy Spooner has been selected to represent England at the upcoming Boys’ Home Internationals competition.
The Wyberton-based golfer received confirmation that he will link up with the rest of the 12-man squad to take on arch rivals Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
The event will be held in Conwy, Wales, from August 4-6.
England are the defending champions, having lifted the trophy in North Ayrshire, Scotland, last year.
And Billy, 17, will be looking to help his nation successfully defend their title.
It has been another successful year for the teenager, who is a member of both Woodhall Spa Golf and Boston Golf Club, and is coached by Boston professional Nick Hiom.
He has been crowned both the Men’s Amateur and Boys’ Lincolnshire champion. He claimed both titles at Woodhall Spa Golf Club.
In the men’s event, Billy scored 75 and 72 before defeating fellow Bostonian Jordan Wrisdale in a sudden death play-off.
