Woodhall Spa’s teenage golfer India Clyburn has been included in the England girls’ squad for the European Team Championships next month.

The 17-year-old is following in the footsteps of her elder sister Holly, the European Tour professional who will play in the US Ladies Open at Pinehurst later this week.

India is the Lincolnshire champion and this season has been runner-up in the Critchley Salver, fifth in the Harder Hall Invitational in the USA and seventh in the Helen Holm Scottish stroke play.

She will line up for England at the Skalica Golf Club in Sovakia from July 8-12.

India is the latest in a long line of international stars to progress from Woodhall Spa’s production line.

She has been in outstanding form at the club this season, returning a number of impressive rounds over the renowned Hotchkin course.

Apart from India, the England team includes other new caps Inci Mehmet and Hollie Muse.

They will play alongside Alice Hewson, Sophie Keech and Sophie Lamb, while Sammy Fuller is the reserve.
