Woodhall Spa professional Nathan Kimsey has produced another top 30 finish in his latest event in Morocco.
Kimsey fired rounds of 72, 73 and 75 to finish tied for 22nd place in the Lixus Open.
He had looked to be on course for a top ten place at one stage but his hopes suffered a setback when he took 40 shots to reach the turn in round three.
He was not helped by double bogies at the par four fourth and par three seventh holes but he bounced back with two birdies on the tricky back nine which featured a number of water hazards.
The Lixus Open was Kimsey’s seventh event on the German PGA tour and he’s ranked in 21st place in the Order of Merit with earnings of more than 4,000 Euros.
Kimsey’s best place was joint third in the Mogador Open, his first competition on the tour circuit.
There is another event - the Dar Es Salam Open this weekend - but Kimsey is not among the early entries.
The former Walker Cup star has utilised the tour to gain valuable practice ahead of the start of him main focus in his first year as a professional, the Challenge Tour.
Kimsey has managed to secure entry to seven events but is hoping impressive performances could result in more invites.
