A Kenwick Park Golf Club teenager is this week representing England in the Home Internationals at Royal Portrush in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Ashton Turner will be hoping to help England regain the title they last won two years ago.
Nineteen-year-old Ashton has won the Darwin Salvertwice and has previously represented Great Britain and Ireland, as well as England. He had top 10 finishes in this year’s Scottish Strokeplay, the Lytham Trophy and the Duncan Putter.
The three-day Home Internationals begin today (Wednesday) when amongst the 11-man team, Ashton will be rubbing shoulders with new English amateur champion Joe Dean.
