The Men versus Ladies match got things underway, a close match with the men eventually winning this friendly-yet-competitive match.

The final score was Guys 96, Dolls 84.

The club is busy organising the first of this year’s Open Days, to be held on October 7 (10am-2pm). Anyone interested in learning more about the game, or in starting playing, is welcome to come along or bring along a relative or friend and visit the club.

Four qualified coaches are available to take you through your paces and show you how to go on if required.

The club also has a range of new bowls and shoes to borrow for anyone new to the game.

This will be followed by four Bowls 4 Fun sessions on Thursday, October 11 (1pm-3pm), Saturday, October 13 (6.30pm-8.30pm), Wednesday, October 17 (1pm-3pm) and Sunday, October 21 (10am-noon).
