Wragby athlete Kieran Gillespie took part in the Lincoln Games at Yarborough Leisure Centre on Sunday.
Kieran competed in the shot put, 100m hurdles and the discus.
The day started brilliantly with a win in the shot and another throw of more than nine metres, an effort of 9.11m. In the 100m hurdles, he ran the perfect race, not only winning but going below the magical 16 second barrier with 15.81 sec, another personal best.
Finally he threw 23.89m for another win, this time in the discus – three wins out of three.
The competition was his final one as an under-17 athlete.
Kieran’s father and coach said: “He has done incredibly well this year, improving his personal bests in all events he has competed in. I’m incredibly proud of his efforts, it’s been a great season and he’s been fantastic to work with.”
