ANGLING: Rosie makes it three in a row at Horncastle


Eight-year-old Rosie Gowshall made it three trophies in a row as she won Horncastle Angling Club’s S Bell Trophy.

She took first place with a total of 21lb 13oz with her largest catch being a 9lb 2oz carp.

James Smith came second with a total of 14lb 1oz, Oliver Pinkett third with 8lb 7oz and William Chamberlain in fourth with 3lb 11oz.

On Sunday the seniors went to Bratoft to fish for the Angel Inn trophy and Matthew Hassall took the prize by just under 14lb.

He fished a total of 34lb 1oz ahead of Kevin Soulby with 20lb 6oz.

George Tombs notched up a total of 18lb 14oz and Tony Cocker came fourth with 17lb.
