Market Rasen Angling Association has commenced the Keyline Winter Aggregate Shield competition, with them having now fished two matches.
The first match was fished at the beginning of the month at the Willingham Road Lake with 12 anglers in attendance for what seemed to be a particularly hard match, with weights on the low side apart from Andy Labaj, fishing peg 21, who won with a weight of 8lb 1oz.

Sunday saw the anglers back at Willingham Road for the second of eight winter league series matches, and again saw 12 anglers at the draw. The weather conditions played a major factor in the match, with high winds and short sharp showers throughout the five hour match.
And the weights were again on the low side, although the overall catch was was heavier that match one.
One of the older members won this time, with Jim Hewson fishing peg 24 with a winning weight of 8lb 12oz, made up of a quality bream and skimmers.
Runners-up spot was secured with a catch of 4lb 6oz from peg 6 by Jim Kelham. There was a tie for the third place payout between Roy Bentley on peg two and Andy Labaj on peg 17, both of whom returned 2lb 2oz.
The current league after the first two matches sees Andy Labaj on eight points, Jim Kelham with seven and Jim Hewson on five.
