Bardney kickboxer Scott Brewer travelled to Albair in Spain with Team England to fight at the WKU Amateur Kickboxing World Championships.
And Scott made the trip more than worthwhile, winning gold in the -70kg light contact, a gold in light contact teams and a bronze in the -70kg full contact.
Scott qualified to represent England by winning the WKU English title for -70kg light contact and full contact earlier in the year. He trains at Fighting Fit Kickboxing Academy, in Kettering, under coach Rich Phillips.
Scott, owner of Lincs Body Fit, only started kickboxing at the age of 14 due to being bullied. Through kickboxing, he became confident, disciplined and respectful of others, and through teaching kickboxing he has gone on to help other youngsters going through the same situation as he did.
Lincs Body Fit run personal training sessions, ladies only keep fit classes and morning boot camps.
Next year, Scott hopes to travel to Orlando Florida to regain his light contact title, and to China for the full contact. But to do so, he has to raise the funds due to kickboxing not been an Olympic sport and therefore receives no financial help from the government even when representing the country.
