FOOTBALL: Woodhall Spa United continue winning ways

Woodhall Spa United took their impressive cup form back into the league when they returned to Boston Taylors Service Garages Division One action at the weekend.

Spa, playing their first league fixture for well over a month, handed top of the table Wyberton Reserves just their third loss of the season with a 2-0 win at home.

They are ahead of local rivals Coningsby in fourth place on goal difference and Spa have four games in hand on third-placed Ruskington Rovers who they play this weekend.

At the bottom of Division Two Mareham United Reserves could be relegated if Fishtoft Reserves win their final game of the season by more than two goals.

Mareham are just three points ahead of the bottom side and have a goal difference of -36 compared to Fishtoft’s -38, but the Fieldsiders have played all their fixtures.
