Woodhall Spa United’s incredible cup run continued at the weekend with their third competition win in as many games.
Spa travelled to Premier Division side Kirton Town and secured their place in the Barclays Brokers Willoughby Cup final with a 4-2 win.
They will face their toughest test yet in the final after overturning Kirton this weekend and Freiston, also in the Premier Division, the week before in the SHS Allium Fishtoft Cup.
Spa will take on Wyberton who are currently top of the Premier Division and haven’t lost a single game all season, winning 17 and drawing one.
This means Spa face two cup finals against Premier Division opposition this season as they will face second-placed side Swineshead Institute in the Fishtoft Cup final.
Their next game is at home against Wyberton Reserves in Division One this weekend.
Mareham United returned to winning ways as they beat Spilsby Town 3-2 to move to ninth in the Premier Division.
The Fieldsiders will have a week off before they travel to Fishtoft on April 12.
In Division Two, Mareham United Reserves fell to a 3-1 defeat against second-placed Heckington Millers.
The result puts the Reserve side in danger of relegation as they are just three points ahead of Fishtoft Reserves who are bottom of the league but have two games in hand.
