FOOTBALL: Woodhall Spa pile on agony for struggling Mareham

Mareham United will be glad to see the back of 2014 - or at least the second half of the year.

They brought the curtain down on a nightmare campaign in the Premier Division of the Boston League with a 4-1 home defeat against local rivals Woodhall Spa United last Saturday.

The result leaves Mareham anchored at the foot of the table and without a win from 13 games.

During that time, they have scored just nine goals and conceded 111!

The three points at least boosted next-to-bottom Woodhall who have four games in hand on Pointon, the side immediately above them in the table.

In other Boston League results last Saturday, AFC Tetford climbed to sixth place in Division Two with a 5-3 win at Sibsey.
