FOOTBALL: Woodhall Spa hit three to stun leaders

Woodhall Spa United served up one of their best performances of the season to beat high flying Travellers Rest in the First Division of the Lincoln and District Sunday League.

United swept to a 3-0 victory against their table-topping opponents to move into sixth place.

Wragby also returned to winning ways - and in some style - when they thrashed the first Division’s bottom club St Helens 8-1.

Horncastle-based AFC Harpars saw their dreams of the Division Two title suffer a severe blow when they lost 3-2 at AFC Golden Eagle.

Although Harpars are still joint top of the table with CSSC Burton Amateurs, they have played four games more than their rivals.

There is no holding in-form Bardney in Division Four. They moved into third place in the table after an emphatic 4-1 win at home to Birchwood United Reserves.
