Woodhall Spa United grabbed a welcome win in the Premier Division of the Boston and District League on Saturday.
United registered an impressive 3-0 victory against Billinghay Athletic at Abbey Lane to boost their hopes of climbing away from next-to-bottom place in the top flight table.
Thanks to the win, United moved to within two points of Ruskington Rovers and they also have five games in hand.
In Division One, Coningsby FC were held to a 0-0 draw at Fosdyke while AFC Tetford were out of luck after a 2-1 defeat at Westside Rangers in Division Two.
However, Tetford’s Reserves were in form and rattled up a 9-1 win at home to outgunned FC Boston in Division Three.
