FOOTBALL: Town’s junior teams ready for action

Horncastle Town’s junior sides are stepping up their build-up to the new campaign with a series of friendly matches over the coming days.

On Friday. the club’s U16 and U15s are due to meet in a challenge match at The Wong (6.30pm).

On Sunday, the U11s will entertain Louth Old Boys (11am) while on Tuesday, the U11s will play the U12s (6.30).

The U15s kick off their league campaign at home to East Coast on September 8 while the U13s visit Navenby in their first league game seven days later.

The club boasts a highly successful junior section which has produced a number of current first and reserve team players.

Officials hope exciting plans for a new clubhouse will attract even more talented youngsters.
