A man-of-the-match performance from Noah Janney was the highlight of an impressive win by Town’s youngsters.

After two losses before the Christmas break, Town could have felt a bit apprehensive going in to the game against a good footballing team.

But some hard work on the training ground paid off as Town started strongly with some good passing and running on the ball.

All of the goals in the first half came from some great teamwork with Janney netting a fine solo effort and Rowan Bramley scoring the goal of the game by chipping the ‘keeper.

James Ashley calmly beat a defender before slipping the ball in to the corner, all after Rowan Hackett had scored the opener with a good finish after a strong run through the defence.

Cherry Colts had a lot of possession but some great defending limited their shots on target as Town led 4-0 at the break.

The second half was much closer with Cherry again limited to only a few shots on goal.

They did get a goal back but Town continued their good play with Bramley scoring his second of the game.
