Woodhall Spa increased their lead at the top of Division Two of the Lincoln Sunday League with an emphatic 4-0 win against Waddingham.

Gareth Melia grabbed two of the goals while Jason Cooke and Jim Turner were also on target for the top-of-the-table outfit.

The referee called an early halt to the game after 75 minutes but the result still stands.

Spa are now six points clear of second placed Ruston United although they have played three games more than their promotion rivals.

Wragby’s top-of-the-table clash against fellow Division One title contenders Ruston Sports was a victim of the bad weather.

However, Wragby can strengthen their grip on top spot when they visit mid-table AFC Rustons on Sunday.

Horncastle-based AFC Harpars can extend their lead at the top of Division Three when they entertain Homeguard Branston this Sunday.

Harpars did not have a game last Sunday and Trent Valley closed the gap at the top to three points, with two games in hand.
