Champions Hykeham Town went back to the top of the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League when they completed a league double over Skegness United.

Their 4-1 success at the Memorial Playing Field followed hot on the heels of their 5-1 win on the coast.

The Supplementary Cup competition kicked off with a tie in each of the four groups. Horncastle Town beat Brigg Town Reserves by the odd goal in three, plus there were wins for Skegness Town and Wyberton, against CGB Humbertherm and Cleethorpes Town Development Squad respectively.

Sleaford Town Reserves were held to a draw in their Group C match against Lincoln Railway AFC.

A brace of goals from Mike Sullivan in the only league game of the day helped lift Hykeham Town to the top of the table.

Chris Funnell netted his fifth in three games and Robin Newman was also on target for the home side. Troy Lonslow scored United’s consolation.

A double strike from Golden Boot holder Michael Harness saw Horncastle Town pick up three points in Group C.

Ben Brown was the Brigg scorer.

Skegness Town 1

CGB Humbertherm 0

A solitary goal from Liam Parker secured three points for Skegness Town in their opening Supplementary Cup Group B match.

Parker slotted home his first of the season midway through the second half to settle this East Lindsey derby.

Lincoln Railway AFC held high-flying Sleaford Town Reserves to a draw at Eslaforde Park.

Jason Barratt nodded the home side in front following David Cook’s deep free kick.

The railmen levelled before the break through Simon Mowbray and that was how it finished.

Wyberton 3

Cleethorpes Town Development Squad 0

Daniel White, Fraser Bayliss and Lee Orrey were the scorers as Wyberton beat Cleethorpes Town DS in Group A at The Causeway.
