Horncastle Town could welcome back a host of key players tomorrow (Saturday) for their crunch Supplementary Cup clash against Nettleham at The Wong (3pm).

Mickey Stones, Richard Jackson, Nathan Rawdon and Scott Lowman could all return to boss Paul Johnson’s match day squad.

They missed Town’s disappointing 5-0 defeat at Wyberton last Saturday in the County Challenge Cup.

Their availability tomorrow would be a boost to Town’s hopes in what is a must-win clash against Nettleham.

The early stages of the Supplementary Cup have been split in a group format with three teams in each.

Skegness Town have already clinched a place in the next stage of the competition as group winners but Town could also go through - provided they beat Nettleham.

Both teams have played three games and sit on just one point each, gained when the two teams played out a 3-3 draw at Mulsanne Park last month.

Fortunately for Town, Nettleham have a slightly inferior goal difference of (-6 opposed to Town’s -5) which means if things finished all square tomorrow, Town would progress to knockout stage.

Whatever happens, Town’s management will be looking for a response after that Challenge Cup exit.

*Town’s reserves return to Lincoln Saturday League action tomorrow when they make the trip toLincoln Moorland Railwy Reserves.

The reserves haven’t played since a home defeat against title rivals The Blues Club a couple of weeks ago and will be keen to get back to winning ways.
