Horncastle Town’s new reserve team boos Andy Fenn has wasted no time stepping up preparations for the new season.

Fenn, who has taken over at the helm from Jamie Lamming, has arranged five pre-season friendlies for his side.

The first will be at local rivals Coningsby on Saturday, July 26. It will be a tough test for Town against Boston and District League opposition.

Town will then be at home on August 2 to another Boston League side, FC Hammer (ko: 2.30pm).

On Friday August 9, Town will travel to Skegness Town Reserves who play in the Premier Division of the Boston League.

Fenn and his players will complete their friendlies with two away matches - at Heckington Millers (August 16) and Fishtoft (August 23).

Town’s second string will again play in the Lincoln and District Saturday League this season and are looking to strengthen their squad.

*Town’s first team will play their first pre-season friendly next Saturday at Billinghay Athletic.

Manager Paul Johnson has been pleased with the work of his players in early training sessions.
