Horncastle Town boss Paul Johnson could be handed a double boost ahead of the Sills and Betteridge Premier League clash at rock bottom Grimsby Borough Reserves tomorrow (Saturday).

Johnson is hoping to welcome back striker Danny Bent and defender Dave Marshall following last Saturday 2-1 defeat at home to Skegness Town.

Bent missed the game because of a one match ban after a recent red card while Marshall was unavailable.

Town will check on the fitness of full back Andrew Shinn following his health scare in the Skegness game while midfielder Ollie Johnson is again a doubt with an ankle injury.

Tony Edwards and Gareth Melia lined up in attack last Saturday but Bent’s availability will boost the options for Johnson.

Town are still in the bottom four of the table but will be confident of three points against Grimsby.

Meanwhile, Town’s reserves will be hoping to make the most of home advantage when they entertain bottom club Saxilby at The Wong tomorrow (2pm).

Town are still smarting from last weekend’s 5-2 defeat at Retford but player-boss Jamie Lamming hopes to have a much stronger squad available.
