Boss Paul Johnson could have to change a winning side as Horncastle Town gear up for their derby clash against Louth Town Reserves in the Sills and Betteridge League at The Wong tomorrow (Saturday), kick-off 3pm.

Town continued their encouraging start to the new season last Saturday as goals from man of the match Richard Jackson and Scott Lowman clinched an impressive 2-0 win against Sleaford Town Reserves.

That victory secured third place in the table, just behind early pacesetters Skegness Town and Skegness United.

Town will start as favourites against Louth who prop up the table and are still looking for their first league point after leaking 18 goals in four games.

However, Town have confirmed several key players will be unavailable for tomorrow’s clash - leaving Johnson to dig deep into the club’s strength in depth.

Striker Michael Harness was ruled out last Saturday because of work commitments but could return while winger Gareth Melia is likely to be sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Town will, once again, be hoping for a big crowd after around 200 watched their win against Sleaford, taking advantage of the impressive new clubhouse facilities.

*Town’s reserves are also in action tomorrow (Saturday) when they continue their Lincoln and District League campaign at Ruston Sports.

The reserves made a sound start to their campaign with a 1-1 draw at champions The Blues Club last Saturday, Josh Cheetham scoring to earn his side a richly deserved point.
