Turner Kingswood grabbed a hat trick as Town U9s continued their unbeaten start to the new season.

Town expected a difficult match and got one as Birchwood dominated the first quarter and camped in the Horncastle half before taking an early lead.

Some skilful play on and off the ball - and hard tackling - saw Town get back into the match and went in to the half time break 2-1 up.

In the second half, Town dominated with some great attacking football, backed up by a solid defence.

Other goals came from Noah Janney (2), Toby Cotton (2) and Rowan Hackett.

n Horncastle Town U12s served up an impressive performance to win 4-1 at Birchwood Colts last Friday in their latest league game.

The U15s were also in action on Friday night and showed terrific spirit to battle to a 2-1 win against local rivals Coningsby at The Wong.

In games last Sunday, The U13s drew 3-3 at Boston United, but the U11s were outgunned and lost 6-1 at a slick Welton Arrows side.

The U10s were in cup action at Wyberton and grabbed a 0-0 draw.
