Horncastle Town Reserves have been drawn at home to The Blues Club in the semi finals of the Amateur Cup.

The tie is the reward for a thrilling 3-2 victory against Retford Town in the previous round.

Player/manager Jamie Lamming will be hoping his side can make the most of playing at The Wong.

It promises to be a difficult test for Town against their WJ Harrison Printer League rivals.

The Blues Club are currently second in the table while Town prop up the competition with just one win from their 13 homes games.

Lamming, though, will be aiming to improve on that record when Town entertain Ruston Sports tomorrow (Saturday) in a league figure with a 2pm kick off.

Town look set to field the majority of the players who secured that win against Retford in their last game when Lewis Burchnall, Jamie Blondel and Josh Cheetham were the scorers.

Town’s first team are also in league action tomorrow (Saturday) when they visit ~Sills and Betteridge Premier Division rivals Hykeham looking to build on an excellent win at Sleaford Town in their previous match.

Town won 2-1 with goals from league representative star Tony Edwards and the always reliable Ollie Johnson.

A victory could move Town out of the bottom four, depending on other results.

Meanwhile, officials have confirmed Grantham Athletic have resigned from the league and all their results have been expunged.

Grantham were struggling at the bottom of the table, a position now occupied by Grimsby Borough.
