FOOTBALL: Harpars look to tame Golden Eagle

Horncastle based AFC Harpars will face another test of their promotion credentials tomorrow (Sunday) when they travel to Golden Eagle in Division Two of the Lincoln and District Sunday League.

Harpars are in second place in the table, level on points with rivals CSSC Burton Amateurs and two points head of Trent Valley.

Burton Amateurs have three games in hand on Harpars so anything less than a win tomorrow would be a major blow for the Horncastle outfit.

In Division One, Woodhall Spa United and Wragby FC will be hoping to pick up points from home games.

Woodhall Spa, who stuck 12 goals on Wragby in the cup last Sunday, entertain leaders Travellers Rest.

Wragby will be aiming to halt their worrying slump in form when they host bottom club St Helens.

Barney are in action in Division Four with a home game against Birchwood United Reserves while Horncastle Town’s Development Squad host William Foster Reserves at The Wong.
