FOOTBALL: Harpars facing a champion test

Horncastle based AFC Harpars will face a champion test tomorrow (Sunday) in the Lincoln and District League.

They will entertain CSSC Burton Arms who secured the Division Two title last week with a crushing 5-2 win over second place Trent Valley.

Third placed Harpars, who led the title race themselves earlier in the campaign, will be keen to knock over their unbeaten opponents.

In Division One, Wragby FC would appear to have a golden chance for three points when they travel to bottom club St Helens who have lost 17 of their 18 games this season - and conceded 159 goals in the process.

The Division Four programme features Bardney at home to Old Boys’ United while Horncastle Town’s Development Squad are at home to William Foster Reserves in a Division Five clash.

Town’s young side have produced some spirited performance all season and boss Mark Simmonds will be gunning for three points against their struggling opponents.
