Coningsby United fell foul to a poor second half as they crashed to a 4-1 defeat at home to Pointon Reserves.
The Reds found themselves 1-0 down after the first minute when Pointon’s winger struck a shot from outside the box which sailed into the top corner.
Coningsby pressed for an equaliser throughout the first half and the start of the second but were undone by two quick goals from Pointon to put the visitors 3-0 up.
The Reserves scored twice from corners and then made it 4-0 with a scrappy finish.
Their clean sheet was wiped off after an own goal to give Coningsby a consolation but the visitors were good value for the three league points.
