Horncastle Town have been crowned as the Lincolnshire League’s team of the month for November.
In a double boost, in-form striker Michael Harness was named as player of the month.
Town will be looking to celebrate the awards in style tomorrow (Saturday) when they entertain Sills and Betteridge League rivals Wyberton at The Wong (ko: 3pm).
Town won the three games in November, beating Market Rasen 4-0 in the league, Bennington 3-2 in the County Cup and Nettleham 5-2 in the Supplmentary Cup.
Harness proved to be a key figure scoring five goals and he will be hoping to add to that tally tomorrow.
Ironically, one blemish for Town during November was a heavy defeat at Wyberton in the Challenge Cup.
Boss Paul Johnson will be hoping that proves to be a one-off as Town go in search of three vital points tomorrow.
It promises to be a tough clash between the third and fourth placed sides in the table with Town holding the advantage.
They are four points clear of Wyberton and also have a game in hand. However, they need a win to maintain the pressure on league leaders and title favourites Skegness Town.
Town have been scoring goals for fun with Mickey Stones bagging a hat-trick against Nettleham last Saturday but Johnson will be looking for a big improvement from his defence.
Meanwhile, Town’s reserves are also in action at home tomorrow as manager Andrew Fenn’s side play Cherry Willingham in the WJ Harrison League.
