Local sides Coningsby and AFC Tetford suffered mixed fortunes in the quarter finals of the Boston and District League’s Challenge Cup.
Coningsby battled through to the last four of the competition after an impressive 3-1 home win against First Division rivals Sleaford Colts.
Division Two Tetford came desperately close to a giant-killing victory against First Division Friskney, but lost 4-3 in a seven goal thriller.
FC Kirton are also through to the semi finals after beating Riplingham and Folkingham 6-1, but the tie between Park United and Freiston was postponed.
In the league, Woodhall Spa United’s hopes of climbing the Premier Division table came unstuck when they lost 8-3 at Old Leake.
Woodhall went into the match in confident mood but they were no match for Old Leake.
