Horncastle based AFC Harpars held their annual end-of-season presentation night last Saturday.
Club chairman Rainer Barnes said he was proud of the team securing promotion in Division Three of the Sills and Betteridge Sunday League, despite losing out on the league title by just two points.
He added that it was frustrating how Harpars recorded an aggregate score of 7-1 against champions Trent Valley - and rattled up a goal difference of 50-plus - but still failed to finish above them in the final standings.
