FOOTBALL: Battling Bardney ready for top of the table test

Bardney’s impressive run of form in the Lincoln and District League will face a major test tomorrow (Sunday) when they travel to Division Four leaders Waddington United.

Bardney have climbed into fourth place in the table on the back of some outstanding results.

They have picked up 21 points from 12 games while Waddington hold top spot with 37 points from 14.

Bardney go into the clash on a high after battling to a 2-1 win at Railway Inn last Sunday in the quarter finals of the Kelly Read Cup.

In other league games tomorrow, Wragby will be hoping to bounce back from a heavy defeat when they travel to First Division rivals Newton United.

Horncastle-based AFC Harpars - now in third place in the table - face a test of character in an away clash in Division Two at Golden Cross.
